Music Video attempt - Final

Above is the very first music video that me and my group made, it is a remake of the song "What I go to school for" by Busted. I am very happy with the outcome of the music video and the time it took to create this music video. It took approximately 6 hours to film, and find costumes and set up lighting and film equipment, however despite this I believe in the time that we had, we managed to recreate the music video to an acceptable standard. I played many roles including featuring in the music video as well as contributing to the editing and the filming, which was all a new experience to me since I had never done anything similiar to this before.

Remaking a Music Video

Above is the music video that I will be recreating, if you watch the video you may notice that there is a slight lag between the lip sync and the action within the video however this is the only music video I can find online, but regardless we still get a rough idea of whats going on.

Preliminary Task

As part of the preliminary task, myself and my group has to recreate exactly a 1.00 of a music video, to do this the first thing we needed to decide was what music video we would be recreating. This was a very difficult decision because we needed to find a music video which was easy to recreate and would'nt involve a lot of editing, because of course none of us are a 100% familliar with the editing software and we were still learning ourselves. We all collectively decided that the song "What I go to school for" by Busted would be a good song to film and edit because first of all the mise-en-scene in general was  easy to create since we were already in a "school environment" at college anyway so we knew we would have no issues recreating the classroom scenes etc. We also looked at the cinematography and editing which would be required, all in all it wasnt too difficult to film and complete purely because many of the things were right on our doorstep.
